🎨💧NI Water: combining Science and Art 💧🎨
We have enjoyed working with NI Water this year, with a special visit from Pat in April, who taught us all about the work that they do, the water cycle and where our water comes from. We then went on to learn about the NI Water scientists and the important job they have of checking and testing the water before it reaches our taps.
In May, we entered a special competition for NI Water, to celebrate how science and our scientists help in the important job of keeping the water from our taps safe to drink. We learned all about the different types of Scientists, including Clean Water Scientists, Microbiologists, Wastewater Scientists and Operational Scientists, who all work really hard to keep our water and environment safe.
We were absolutely delighted to learn that one of our Primary 6 pupils won a prize in the competition and look forward to attending her award ceremony at NI Water’s Treatment Works in Magherafelt next week!
Well Done to our amazing artists who worked so hard on their posters!
