"Express Yourself" poetry competition

The amazing Key Stage 2 children have been working very hard on developing their skills in writing poetry and focused on composing poems relating to expressing our emotions and mental health.  These poems were entered into a competition being run by AWARE, and we are delighted to announce a very special Top Ten entrant from P.6!

This Primary 6 girl is now a published author and we could not be any prouder of her.  A copy of the book is now in place in our school foyer, and will take pride of place in our school for many years to come.

Boys and girls, keep writing, keep inspiring and we are all incredibly proud of you and look forward to seeing more of your exceptional work in the future. Perhaps we have the next famous South Derry poet in our midst?
