🕊️ Remembering Pope Francis and welcoming Pope Leo 🕊️
We have been very busy learning more about the life of Pope Francis and have enjoyed researching him, creating some beautiful pieces of artwork and composing beautiful prayers and poems. We know that Pope Francis had a special love for children, and inspired us all to work for a better world. Some of our class and their families were even lucky enough to see him when he visited Ireland in 2018!
In our weekly assemblies, we continue to honour Pope Francis by saying his Five Finger prayer and we love to say the 7-word prayer taught to him by his grandmother:
"Jesus, make my heart more like yours".
As a school community, we join with over a billion other Catholics around the world to welcome and pray for our new pope, Pope Leo, with Catholics around the world in giving thanks for the election of Pope Leo.- Chapters
