P.5 & 6 enjoying Maths Week Ireland

We are having a fabulous week celebrating “Maths Week Ireland” - a wonderful opportunity to further develop our problem-solving skills with a wide range of fun activities! #iusemaths

On Monday during “School at Home” we enjoyed watching Maths Week TV and watched Susan Okereke, who helped us discover patterns as she demonstrated how times-tables are related to each other through the magic of colouring in.

On Tuesday during “School at Home” we reflected on a “Maths Mindset” survey and created our own Maths Selfies!

On Wednesday back in school we practised our Maths skills and competed against other pairs playing Kahoot! We also began investigating the properties of quadrilaterals.

On Thursday we enjoyed learning some maths tricks on #MathsWeekTV with Dr Ken Farquhar and we continued our learning on quadrilaterals by creating our own in the playground!

The Maths fun will continue tomorrow!
